Get comfy being uncomfy.
We've all heard Brené Brown. We know life is supposed to get better when we get vulnerable. But you know what? Vulnerability is pretty damn hard.
The Moments of Discomfort deck is designed to stretch your vulnerability muscles, create space to mess up safely and laugh at yourself, and connect with others through shared movement, breathing, mild embarrassment, and creative play.
Each card contains an exercise that will have you feeling 5 minutes or less of discomfort, along with a little tidbit on exactly which emotional or physical muscle you're stretching. Everyone in the room with you – your colleagues, your students, your family, whomever – will get to play in the same uncomfy stew. At the end of the exercise, you'll all have survived and will have grown a little closer as a community.
Embracing my natural inclination to hummingbird my way through the world. This deck is a collection of exercises and challenges pulled from myriad disciplines, histories, and parts of the world – as well as from my own creative mind. Once I stopped trying to put myself in a pigeonhole, I was able to create something much more valuable and much more fun.
